A LOS PARTIDOS Y ORGANIZACIONES POLITICAS AMIGAS EN EUROPA
Con profunda preocupación el Partido Comunista de Cuba ha venido dando seguimiento a la evolución de la aguda crisis económica que atraviesa Europa, la actuación de sus gobiernos y las continuas movilizaciones y huelgas de rechazo que se han generado en ese continente.
Apreciamos que la situación política, económica y social es muy compleja, con tendencia a agudizarse, a partir de la aplicación de los paquetes de ajustes impuestos por los mercados financieros internacionales y los principales centros de poder económico a ambos lados del Atlántico, encaminados a cargar sobre los hombros de los trabajadores los efectos de la crisis, protegiendo los intereses de los sectores bancarios y financieros que la generaron con lo cual, lejos de erradicar las causas, más bien tienden a agravar sus consecuencias.
Nuevamente patentamos que la crisis económica y financiera actual es una expresión de la grave crisis que atraviesa el sistema capitalista, cuya política irresponsable sustentada en un modelo de consumo insostenible pone en riesgo la propia existencia de la especie humana en el planeta.
El Partido Comunista de Cuba ratifica su total solidaridad y apoyo a los pueblos, partidos y movimientos políticos que resisten ante esta nueva ofensiva imperialista. Reafirmamos que los pueblos no deben ceder en su empeño de exigir que la crisis la paguen sus únicos y verdaderos responsables y de luchar por construir una alternativa política que garantice justicia e igualdad social para todos.
Como expresara el Comandante en Jefe Fidel Castro Ruz en una de sus reflexiones “la crisis actual y las brutales medidas…… traerán también a los pueblos más conocimiento, más conciencia, más rebeldía y más revoluciones”.

It is with deep concern that the Communist Party of Cuba has been following the development of the acute economic crisis in Europe, the performance of their governments and the continuous mobilizations and strikes of rejection that have taken place in that continent.
We see that the political, economic and social situation is very complex, with a trend to become more acute, on the basis of the implementation of the adjustment packages imposed by the international financial markets and the main centres of economic power at both side of the Atlantic to put the burden of the impact of the crisis on the workers´ shoulders, thus protecting the interests of the banking and financial sectors which brought it about and, far from eradicating its cause, tend to worsen its consequences.
We reiterate once again that the present economic and financial crisis is an expression of the acute crisis affecting the capitalist system, whose irresponsible policy, based on an unsustainable consumption model, is risking the very existence of the human race in the planet.
The Communist Party of Cuba reaffirms its full solidarity and support to the peoples, parties and political movements which resist this new imperialist offensive. We reaffirm that the peoples should give up in their determination to demand that the only and true responsible for the crisis are the ones who have to pay for it, and to fight for building a political alternative that guarantees justice and equality for all.
As Commander in Chief Fidel Castro said in one of its reflections: “the present crisis and the brutal measures … will also bring to the people more knowledge, more awareness, more rebelliousness and more revolutions”.
